stainless steel mesh filter screen instead of OEM plastic mesh filter screen

This kit needs to come with a stainless steel mesh filter screen instead of OEM plastic mesh filter screen that always seems to be ripped when removed for repair from normal use. Had this unit came with that it would get a full 5 star rating. Maybe you should ask the manufacturer to see if they could change that over to make their product even more robust.

In our experience we tend to see these screens rip when there has been some form of oil contamination. When there is contamination in the system, it clogs this filter screen. If the screen becomes too plugged the pressure of the pump will force the oil to break through the screen preventing the system from being starved of oil. We will definitely pass on your concerns to the manufacturer for their consideration.

not very impressed at all

Parts i ordered were labelled as geniune ford parts when they showed up they were alliant parts which was not indicated on the website.
Very disappointed. Wont be using you guys ever again. Now i know why there is no phone number to contact you guys . That should of been my first indication.

We are sorry for the misunderstanding Cam, it was in no way our intent to give the impression that this was a Ford part just that this was a part for your Ford application. The reason we use the Alliant Power oil cooler is because Alliant Power uses a similar OE design to maximize it's cooling effectiveness.The Alliant Power oil cooler meets or exceeds the OE specification in all areas. Some of the highlights of the Alliant Power oil cooler are:

• Burst pressure exceeds 7 bar standard by 5X (41.25 bar Avg)
•  Pressure cycling 0-7 bar:  112,038 cycles without failure (leaks or visible deformation)
•  Stud torque exceeds 16 ft lb spec (22.25 ft lbs avg to failure)
•  Increase in pressure drop on water circuit vs. OE
•  Decrease in pressure drop on oil circuit vs. OE
•  Increased heat rejection vs. OE
• Warranty is less than 0.3% and often are the result of shipping damage and no fault of the product.

It had the blue base gasket that I wanted. The instructions was easy to understand and it arrived exactly when they said it would.

Complete with instructions and gasket set. Fairly easy to install. Had to order a Ipr screen set or vehicle would be operable by now.
